Ball and Chain

The drill today is one of my favorite drills. It is really called resisted sprints both to the front and to the back, but I like to call it "Ball and Chain!" It consists of me pulling Doug and then later in the video Doug is pulling Denny. This is a real thigh and booty burner. Again, this is one of those drills that we do mostly at our Keller facility. You may have seen this drill done in different ways. When I went to the summer conditioning camps we used a resistance band and just wrapped the band around our waist for the person in front and the person in the back held on to the handles of the band. It is the same concept. Enjoy the drill of the day...especially Denny's comments. Gotta enjoy Denny!

Girl Fight

I am calling this drill "Girl Fight" because you know how girls have a tendency to just slap and swing when they get in to a smack down! Really though it is my understanding that this is a resisted dummy drill with a slap to move the dummy out of the way and a swim motion coming through the middle. I feel like I really did just lots of swinging, punching and an occasional slap. It is a tough exercise and we usually do it for time. As you can see in the video, I was whipped. I think the pink gloves are a nice touch as well.

Shoulder the Burden

Welcome to the strong like helm drill of the day blog. This blog will contain various exercise drills that we do here in the Flower Mound/Double Oak location as well as at our Keller EDGE location.

The drill today is the shoulder complex drill with sets of 15 front raises, 15 side raises and 15 v's. This is a great shoulder work-out and I have found that it has helped give my shoulders that little cap look to them. I love this drill and I hope you will as well.
